Fernley Nevada Spring 2021
Motocross for Dan is not just a hobby… It is definitely one of his passions. He loves riding, teaching, and sharing his passion with anyone who is interested.
One of our favorite places to go hang out for an afternoon was the Motocross track in Fernley Nevada. It was so convenient and so close to home it did not require much pre-planning. However, in 2021 there were new owners and they change the rules about practicing on the track… No practice or using the track without permission from the new owner.
This left us looking for a new place close by to play in the dirt.
Great news we found was a new track in Fernley! It is organized and managed daily. It also has a fee for day use. This is great for a fun couple of hours. It is good to see we have a great resource for our local riders.
Even though this is a great find, we were looking for something a little bit different…something with more freedom to ride when you want and not on a schedule, something that allows for a little more independence.
In the coming months we will be trying out new locations. Sand Mountain Nevada will be our first stop. There is no motocross track in this location but there is a lot of sand and open space plus camping.
