Who knew we would love camping! Ever since we got our Momentum 21G Toy Hauler a.k.a. “Willy.” We have fallen in love with hooking up and heading out…even if it is for an afternoon, a weekend, or 2 weeks…we can’t get enough of it! Willy is like our own Tiny Home and it is so great to wake up in a new location with all of the comforts of home.
One thing we have been doing for the last couple of years is trying to enjoy the area closer to home. I mean we do live in a wonderfully beautiful place.
Pyramid Lake is about a 20 to 30 minute drive from our house which makes it the perfect weekend spot. The truly crazy thing is we have lived in Nevada most of our lives and NEVER before 2021 had we visited, let alone camped at the lake.
The video below shows what happened on one of our visits to the Lake…Did you know the camping area around the Lake is OPEN range? This was an exciting and scary few minutes! And yes ALL of these cows are in our campsite!
Thankfully, they got a drink and moved on!
We are looking forward to more visits to the Lake in 2022 and we will be picking our camping spot with more care…I really don’t want to be invaded by cows again! This was at a spot on the south end of the Lake and we were told that this happens everyday in this area. I am pretty sure you will be finding us camping in some of the more northern camping spots! HA!
