Since my last update, we’ve had numerous adventures, from Hawaii to camping trips and a visit to the Valley of Fire followed by a road trip to visit Mother (Dan’s mom). The latest news is that we’ve purchased our own piece of heaven – land! Located in the quiet desert beauty of Yerington, NV, our new one-acre lot is officially named the Lorntzen Ranch. Are you ready to join us in this exciting new chapter? We’re thrilled to bring you along on this adventure with us.
Our vision for the ranch includes a modest 1500 sq ft home, complete with a spacious garage that we affectionately call the “big ass shop.” Additionally, we will have a barn to house our trusty tractor and Ranger, alongside a solar-powered greenhouse, a garden, and an abundance of flowers to brighten our days.
I am particularly excited about building a studio. This dedicated space will serve as a sanctuary for my creative endeavors, inspiring me to bring to life whatever artistic visions I may have.
Right in line with our homestead endeavors, we have also been very busy baking sourdough bread. It took us two months to develop our starter, but the results have been well worth the effort. We have even started selling loaves of bread, a venture that has us researching and sourcing organic ingredients to ensure the highest quality product for our customers. Maybe we should think about a Micro-bakery! Or not… only the future will tell.
To share our journey with you in even more detail, we are creating new videos of all these exciting developments, which we will be posting on YouTube. Stay tuned for a visual feast of our homestead adventures!
As we start on this new chapter, we invite you to join us on this journey of leaving the busy city, allowing for creativity, and the simple joys of life at Lorntzen Ranch. Stay tuned for more updates and stories from our homestead.
